I met Jaci a few months back at a networking event for wedding professionals. I was the featured photographer at her venue, The Yellow Barn. When she was looking for a photographer for her own wedding this summer, I was very happy to help out. They’re actually getting married in Cancun (take me with you please), but having their reception here at the Boulevard Brewing Company. It will be extremely fun.
Now, about their engagement session. Jaci and Matt were so natural in front of the camera. I hardly had to give any direction and they were all cuddly and loving on each other. We spent some time exploring the land at the venue followed by incorporating their dogs and capturing a killer sunset. It was such an awesome session!
Thank you so much Jaci and Matt for trusting me to capture your love!
How did he propose?
Matt proposed at home after a date night of putt-putt and sushi. His mom and sister hung a big sign and post-its while we were gone. I came home to the surprise. Matt got down on one knee and asked me to be his bride. Of course I said yes!
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
I love how laid back he is. He is pretty easy to get along with. I also love how athletic and competitive he is (sometimes — he beats me in pretty much everything). I love how great he is with the dogs. I love how he knows exactly how I’m feeling and will comfort me when I’m feeling down. He is also VERY handsome.
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
Her sense of humor and how comfortable I feel when I’m with her. I can truly be me. Oh and her smoking hot looks didn’t hurt.
