Hey everyone! With my business, I like being as transparent as possible. I want you to know me as a friend, not just your photographer. Friends tell each other what’s going on, so I figured I should write a post about some of the changes coming to eGolden Moments Photography in 2018.
2018 will be my fourth year in business. Over the past four years, I have photographed almost 50 weddings. Wow! This past year has been absolutely insane. In 2017, I had 26 weddings – some of which were second shooting gigs, but still, that’s pretty crazy to think about. I currently have 22 for 2018 and will stop accepting inquiries when I hit 25. Even though my business is growing, I still want to give every couple my full attention.
So since my business is growing and evolving, I’m constantly looking for ways to better serve my couples. Currently I’m what other photographers would refer to as ‘shoot and burn.’ This means I take the pictures, edit them, send you the digital downloads, and then we part ways. While I am still going to provide digital downloads, I’m going to structure some of my packages to include a print credit. Instead of parting ways after you’re wedding, we’ll schedule a meeting after all the pictures are edited. This will be called your reveal party. We’ll sit down and I’ll show you your finished gallery. We’ll then take a look at the different products I offer and I’ll help you decide what will fit best in your home. You’ll also have the opportunity to order a beautiful signature album and I’ll even send you home with a few complimentary prints.

What are you changing in 2018?
Nothing, but also a lot of things! I’ll still offer you an amazing service with digital downloads. In addition to the digital downloads, I’ll walk you through the process of making prints or creating an album. I know how life is. You get married, get busy, and your pictures sit on your hard drive for years. My new system takes the stress completely off you! Your package includes a print credit toward your total purchase and I handle all the ordering and design work. All you need to do is meet with me for a couple minutes to decide what you want.
What products will you offer?
Virtually anything! I have partnered with a couple high quality print labs that can offer you pretty much anything you want. Most commonly, I create beautiful signature albums. I can do various sizes and styles. One of my favorites is the crystal cover album. It’s coated with a hard glass material and looks so beautiful sitting on your coffee table. I can also offer standard prints, canvases, metal prints, wall calendars, just to name a few.
Do I have to order products through you?
No. I will still offer a couple packages that are shoot and burn style. With these packages, you still have the option to order through me but you don’t have to. I just recommend ordering through me because I can guarantee quality. Not all prints are created equal and you want to make sure you have something that will withstand the test of time. Also, not all digital images are formatted for any size print. I will make sure no heads are cut off and everything looks its best.
How much will the print credit get me?
I will have two packages that offer print credits. The first is a $500 credit and the second has a $250 print credit.
For $500, you can get a 10×10 hard cover album, an 8×10 canvas, a 5×7 metal print, and eight 8×10 lustre prints.
If you care more about an album than prints, you can get a 12×12 metal cover album and still have $90 left over for prints or canvases.
If prints are your focus, you can order nine 16×20 prints.
If you want all the canvases, $500 will get you two 16×20 canvases with some change left over for prints.
So a $500 (or even $250) print credit will get you quite a bit.
What if I want to order more than my print credit allows?
Go for it! The system will prompt you to add credit card information and you can take care of everything online!
What type of clients are you catering to?
I try to think of my perfect client as someone who appreciates photography and believes it’s a worthwhile investment. I want you to value printed pictures and imagine your home filled with beautiful wall art. But, if you’re like me, you’ve had empty walls since you moved in to your house 3 years ago. I’m the absolute worst at decorating, so really I’m catering to brides like me. Do you dream of your wedding pictures on your walls, but don’t have the time or motivation to do it? Let me remove the stress and take care of the ordering for you. Hammer and nail not included. That’s what your husband is for anyway, right?
What’s the next step in booking under this totally awesome new system?
To start, congratulations on your engagement! I’m so happy you’re considering eGolden Moments Photography for your wedding. Go ahead and visit my contact page to send me a message. If you’ve been stalking my work for a while, you may have noticed that the pages have changed. I no longer have an investment page and instead have an information page. This is because every wedding is so different. While I still have standard prices, I want to find out what you’re looking for before giving you any numbers. After we talk, I’ll be able to recommend the best package for you. My prices still start at $1500 with the average investment around $2500. If you are trying to stick to a lower budget, please let me know and I can see how I can help.
I can’t wait to meet you!
